Membership Cancellation Policy

The St. Andrew Society of São Paulo is committed to delivering a high standard of service to our esteemed members, recognizing that there may be circumstances necessitating the cancellation of your annual or monthly membership.

Cancellation requests are straightforward and can be initiated by members at any time without incurring additional charges. However, it's important to note that the cancellation does not guarantee a full refund of the already-paid annual or monthly fees, except in cases of force majeure, which are detailed below.

For the cancellation process to be valid, it must be formally requested in writing, either via email or physical letter, with a minimum notice of 30 days prior to the upcoming payment. If the cancellation request is made within a period of fewer than 30 days from the next payment date, the subsequent payment will remain due, and no refund will be issued.

In the event of force majeure, such as serious illness, family bereavement, relocation to another country, or other unforeseeable circumstances, members can request cancellation with a proportional refund. The reimbursement will be determined based on the remaining months of the annual or monthly fee, calculated from the date when the written cancellation request is received.

Members who cancel their service or membership within 7 days before utilizing any contracted services or attending included events are guaranteed the right of repentance, entitling them to a full refund of the amounts paid. This refund will be processed within 10 business days from the date of the cancellation request.

It's essential to be aware that the St. Andrew Society of São Paulo retains the authority to cancel or terminate a membership or service at any time if a member breaches established policies or terms of use. In such cases, the member will not be eligible for a refund and must immediately cease using the services or membership.

This cancellation policy is subject to the governance of Brazilian law, and any disputes arising from it will be adjudicated by the competent authorities within the country.

Event Ticket Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of event tickets is facilitated to accommodate the convenience of our valued buyers. Such requests can be initiated by the ticket purchaser at any time before the event commences.

The process for initiating a cancellation request must align with the same sales channel initially used to purchase the ticket, whether through our website or at a physical point of sale. Upon cancellation, the ticket price will be refunded to the purchaser, deducting any applicable service fees.

The timeline for requesting cancellation may vary, contingent on the specific event. However, as a general guideline, the deadline for such requests typically extends up to 3 days prior to the event. In cases where cancellation is requested within the stipulated period, the full value of the ticket will be refunded to the buyer.

Please be aware that any cancellation request submitted after the established deadline will not be eligible for a ticket price refund.

Regarding "no-shows," when a buyer fails to attend the event without prior cancellation, often referred to as a no-show, this circumstance does not qualify for a ticket price refund. However, if the absence is justified by force majeure, such as illness or an accident, the buyer may request a refund of the ticket price. To do so, the request must be made through the same sales channel used for ticket purchase, accompanied by a medical document or other valid documentation demonstrating the impossibility of attending the event.

In the event of changes to the scheduled event, including alterations in the date, location, or time, buyers have the option to retain their ticket for the rescheduled event or request cancellation and a refund of the ticket price. It's important to note that if the buyer chooses to retain the ticket for the new date, the opportunity for cancellation and refund at a later time will not be available, except in cases where the event itself is canceled.

We reserve the right to modify this event ticket cancellation policy at any time, without prior notice. The most current version of this policy will always be readily accessible on our website or at physical points of sale.

It's important to acknowledge that this cancellation policy for event tickets operates within the framework of legal standards and does not impede rights guaranteed by law, such as the right of repentance or the right to reimbursement in the event of event cancellation by the organizing entity.
